Hollywood Gone Wild...

It seems that all you hear these days about Hollywood is out-of-control budgets, contracts that are negotiated more times than asking what a person with multiple personalities wants for lunch, and actors/directors/producers/stunt-men wanting more and more for less and less work.

That's where the short film world comes in to save the day. Filmmakers, passionate about their subjects and their art, self-funding their films from their own pockets (or close friends and relatives), and making the final cut based on their vision, not what they think we, the audience, 'want' to see. I'm sure the amount of foam on their mocha-soy-latte is the furtherest thing from their mind.

We hear at Mini Movie don't just gather great films, produce some of our own, and hold contests. No, we actually LOVE short films. We see a truth to them that so many of the Hollywood types have forgotten how to capture (that's not to say there aren't a few good ones in the feature films world).

Short films capture an idea, a moment, a world of emotion - without taking up 2 hours of your time. They're short and sweet - and here at Mini Movie, they're completely free to watch, anytime you want.
